Crysis 3 beta MP - Comments so far?

I like the graphics and the fast paced game play reminds me of quake 3 a bit. I do find it cold and unengaging though, just no feel to it. Find the pods. Hold the pods. Kill people. You are the hunter. Find the CELL operatives. Kill the cell operatives. It's about 1mm deep. I dunno, I expected more substance.

Its beta, can't expect much from it at this stage. Even Crysis1 wasn't very deep in terms of story the gameplay and graphics were just awesome. Whatever happened to that awesome sequel to Crysis1 though where you get knee deep in sh|t with the aliens back on the island is what I want to know.

I hope it's where its just beta still but is it just me or is there a lot of stuff that looks really console-y and dumbed down? Not exactly looking elite PC worthy IMO.

very good graphics. crysis 1 and 2 were never impressed me in graphics but first time crysis 3 does. but the gameplay i didn't like from c1 and c2 is still there or feels like it is still there. will continue to play beta to make my final decision about buying it.

Yeah getting SLI with 600's Napalm. Can you mod your profile so it points to beta as well as crysis.exe?

also while it is not playable (for me at least) everything max with 8x aa >2gb . i think these settings will not be playable for single gpu solutions so single 680's are not effected but this is not good for 690 and 680 2gb sli owners. by the way this made me ate my words about 2gb will be enough for 680's lifetime

first time i added the beta.exe to crysis3 profile it didnt work after that post ^ relaunched for the 10th time and magically now its running on sli.. weird

nice screens my friend, same happened to me it was because drivers 313.95 with 313.96 SLI worked perfect of course i had to add to Crysis 3 existing SLI profile on Inspector

Ket game is already finished by this time...what we see is what we will get dont think that they will change anything except netcode at this time and fix bugs

Here's some screens. GTX680 SLI @ 1241/7400, around the 60-70 FPS range

990x was @ 4400 for the above SS's. I havent checked mem usage on crysis, will do and report back. i dont get any tearing with SLI, might be a tri SLI thing perhaps? Oh, whats your core clocks on the 3 cards?

Default CPU is 3.47GHz, I can test at that speed if you want? Would never run it that low though so not sure how much relevance that would have. This game is so GPU bound anyway. Memory utilization is about 2GB per card.

Funny you say that, I just ordered an AX1200 about an hour ago Realized mine has only 2 x 8pin PCI-E and I need 4, using 6->8pin adapters for second card and I don't want to draw over 225w with it until I do. I know what I said, it was kinda tounge in cheek, more just saying how impressive the power draw for the 680's is given their performance.

What makes you think SLI 680's at moderate/low clocks and 4.4GHz CPU would put FPS in the 70-80's at 2560x1600 everything maxed in Crysis 3? Are there others pulling those numbers?


I enabled SMAA 2x instead of MSAA 2x which I was using. Nvidia recommend it apparently (they have a table on their site with settings for Crysis 3 beta and a few cards)

Dropped a few FPS but maybe looks slightly better? Dont know. Here's some screens

Log says max mem utilization was 2015 MB, averages around 1950 MB or so

this sheet is rigged by ea and origin.. some really rachet stinkin sheet is going on by ea+origin.. i know its no surprise but damn their stat system and disconnects are pure evil.. are you guys getting any anomalities on keyboard+mouse ? the weapon just goes off by itself and have to click several times to stop it from firing.. the mouse just freezes and cant do sheet.. i have very dificult time using the jaw have to click several times to launch.. same goes on the keyboard sometimes have to press several times to get anything thru.. i havent seen such disconnect from keyboard and mouse they got a mind of their own

No input problems from my side. Game is well responsive.

Its still going i just tried and was not having an issue.

Seems with an 680 you can pick up about ten fps from 1200 - 1400 on the clock 3000- 3400 rams was hitting 50fps with ab recording, most settings very high not much bloom and no rays.



I dont know if beta or what but its not that great to look at i got setting up tess max the whole 9 yards
