Dang. And I got today parcel with 75ohm resistors
I just ordered a 5830 to add to my farm. I thought I would ask you guys opinion on how I should add this in. I have 1 system with a 6950 and a 2nd system with a 5850.
I would like to add the 5830 to the 2nd system with the 5850. Do I have to crossfire them? How do I setup GUIminer; do I create a separate worker for each gpu? Do I run a separate miner for each gpu?

I use BTguild; so you would have to create a new worker; then create new miner on guiminer for ea card. you do not have to run in x-fire and I thought x-fire hurt production, but I may be mistaken
it should be that simple. I also do not think it matter what system you put it on; it should run fine either way

hmm that's interesting you bring that up. I was running a pair of 5870's in two separate rigs for a while. i have recently dropped them in the same system under crossfire with out any dummy plugs and the like and there is absolutely zero difference. if anything each card get an extra 1-2mhash under CFX. I guess it really depends on the system.

+1 on this....I didn't notice any increase (or decrease) from x-firing the cards to running them separately.

I can probably shed some light here. I built a second rig today with 2 5850s and there did seem to be a big drop in hashes in X-fire mode. Running the separately they're now about 300m/h each
hmmm. what is the CPU load scenario for you guys seeing a drop in mhash when using CFX? I know that if I fully load my CPU it makes a huge difference on my output but if it leave even one core/thread open normally it is fine.

wowwwww
super ghetto style...
Running two 5870's @ 1025/1200 and a stock 6870. Output is about 1200Mh/s on average and 1475Mh/s peak. 5870's are wc with cf enabled.

I cant find pics of my farm (too busy already to making new ones)
Electrical installation on flat has 20A cut off - voltage is 220-225V so I can load about 4,5kW max - so not all cards from this pic working
Only 5xpc for now
5x s140
4x 790fx-gd70 + 1x k9a2 platinium
5x 1kW ocz psu
12x 5870
2x 5850
6x 5830
all working on about 50 days
POWER BILL CALCULATION:
4122kWh total @ 50 days
3,48kWh avg per day
1kWh cost 0,56PLN (0,2$) total = ~825$

dunno, for example my friend live 200meters (METERS!) from me and he is paying 0,62
Some of my Mining rigs parked at BitClockers Mining Pool
Mostly consist of 3 and 4 card rigs with 1200W PSU's
Majority of GPU's are 5870's, I do have some 5970's 5850's 5830's and NVIDIA cards mining
Im paying $0.063per kWh my power bill is around $700 a month with a peak of 15 GHash
