    NewEgg Noobs out a Record

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWlZr...&feature=feedu

No big deal, just breaking the performance 3DMark11 record with a lot of stock settings (other than a 4GHz 1100T)

There may be a problem Brian, your score is low compared to similar systems.

Your's is not AMD 3DMark11 world record. Wanna know why? Modified nvidia drivers, without modding SLI didnt work on 890FX and earlier boards, exeption is some nVidia chipset boards.

The benchmark in video is done with non-modified official drivers and that makes it legit world record, but i can think it is broken quite soon.

Thats the difference is it accepted as world record or not. Legit drivers WR and non-legit drivers not-WR.

the driver status is approved and u dont mod the drivers for the gpus to run tri sli u mod the NV control panel or the chipset driver or the chipset name. and it says FM approved so it counts.

And modding them is illegal by law unless permission from software developers is given. So it cannot be legit world record.

Nothing illegal about changing the way your chipset identifies itself to the driver, or changing what the drivers think they are seeing.

Depends is it protected from modification, circumventing protections is against law.

But i think board manufactuerers allowed editing that intentionally.

I dont still consider records made with 890FX and older boards being legit.

He does it because those are his beliefs.

Its like a person with an anti-gay sign in the middle of a pro-gay/lesbian mob. Technically its not correct by his views and even though nobody else in the crowd cares about his existence he will shove his sign in all our faces and scream as well.

The only problem is that in this situation there is a "virtual pistol" in his hands he can threaten everyone with his words, as if his words give him more power over everyone else.

I will stop here and hope we get back on topic.
