    213k 03 & 18K 11 4x6970@LN2

This project was really nice I wanted to do some serious multi-gpu benching on SandyBridge 2600K. I decided to use Asus P8P67 WS Revolution which enables using Quad CrossfireX with 4x PCIE X8. My choice was of course 4x 6970 referent design. Firstly, I was hand-picking HD6970 which works on LN2 and overclocks. All in all, I had tested 11 pieces of VGA before I found 4 GPUs which overclock and work without artefacts on minus temperatures. Finally, 2x HIS did 1200 GPU and 2x Vertex did 1250 MHz. I was very happy to achieve 1200 MHz GPU on 4x 6970

Antec 1200W TruePower Quattro & Fractal Newton 1000W
    Lian-LI Benchtable
    Goodram Play 62 GB SSD

    Some photos of setup

    and preparations for ln2

Unfortunately, my best 2600K only did 5.6 GHz and now is dead but it helped to achieve quiet good result in 3DMark 03

    7th result according to Hwbot

    The best result on 2600K

Dude this is so awesome... sweet setup, and excellent to have successfully pulled this off. Good one .

What do the insides of the pots look like? or is it a secret, they look pretty sweet where'd you get em?

Any volt mods done? What voltages for 6970s did you use?
    Nice results!

Here is a little preview with 4-Way SLI (stock cooling) and with crappy 990x retail on LN2 but now I have much better CPU

You are correct about pot design - it is made by duniek

In 3DMark 03 this CPU is a bottleneck more GPU MHz = worse results

No mods - it's reference design with volterra chip, I only used modded afterburner and RacerX (to bypass limits in Overdrive)

    Scaling with cold and voltage:

    1.35v - 1100 MHz GPU temp. +15*C
    1.40v - 1150 MHz GPU temp. - 40*C
    1.45v - 1200 MHz GPU temp. -100*C

Thx, You are correct that this setup is a lot of fun but on good Gulftown scores would be higher

Those pots are made by duniek, simple slim pots

I think that they are really good, not like fatties of course but they can handle GTX 580 without trouble to control or pull down temp during Vantage tests
