Xonar D2X heat
I just re-built my computer into another case and had an issue with the sound. Uppon touching my Xonar D2X it was really hot: 80+C....... I'm wondering if this is normal temps for the sound card and i never noticed before.
It is now working fine. It is not short circuiting with anything, power connector is properly connected and the videocard it is sitting beside is water-cooled so that's not the issue...
Cheers.

Some of the cards that use the C-Media chips do run rather hot. The Bluegears B-Enspirer is one. Some used to take a RAM sink and put it on the chip to help dissipate heat faster. Find out which chip is generating the most heat, and if it doesn't have a sink, put one on it.
