    PowerColor confirms its Radeon HD 6870 X2 card is coming this month



    PowerColor's new dual-GPU offering has 2240 Stream Processors, a GPU clock of 900 MHz, a 2 x 256-bit memory interface, a memory clock of 4200 MHz, dual-DVI, HDMI and dual mini DIsplayPort outputs, and is equipped with a custom dual-slot cooler boasting two fans and five copper heatpipes.

    The Radeon HD 6870 X2 is expected to go on sale by the end of this month priced at $449.....

    Nice. If it performs well i could see myself getting one.

    Nice card, but extremely overpriced... it should cost $399
    But maybe it will lower quickly after launch.

    This @ $399 can be a HIT.

    6870 crossfire is more or less GTX580 performance (maybe -5% performance), and @ xtreme res (2560x1600) it beats it.

    Taking all res into the accounts, 6870 CrossfireX, is 10% faster than a GTX480 and @ 2560 is 23% faster then a GTX480...

    If it's 1GB vram per GPU then I do not recommend it to anyone in Year 2011.

    And why you say that?? Unless you play @ 2560x1600, there's no need for more than 1gb vram at all...
    If you read the review i posted you'll see you get GREAT performance up untill 1920x1200 (all max settings with AA enabled...)

    So, there's also a 6970x2 coming out from power color but they didn't say how much!
