    LN2 4850 and gx2 - gold cups inside

First I must say that SB hasn't lived up to my expectations. Benching 5,5+ GHz on air only needing gpu sub zero did seem awesome but my crappy cpu only manages 5,3 with over 1.55 vcore. It runs too hot for air. A bad board doesn't help. Even thought of taking a break from ocing and wait for BD instead
But luckily I changed my mind and benched the sh*t out of these gpus I had lying around.

    Rig spec
    • i7 2600k L044B692 - 5340 max
    • Gigabyte P67A-UD4-B3
    • Corsair Dominator GT 1600 cl6
    • In-Win Commander 1500W
    • Dimastech Benchtable Easy
    • F1 EE
    • EVGA 9800XG2 with tek 4 pot
    • Slightly modified XFX 4850 with ryba (?) slim pot

Insulated mostly with eraser like this:

And the cards ready for action:

    3d03
Fav benchmark? Maybe, it's a pretty relaxed one

    105946 marks with Nvidia GeForce 9800 GX2 at 1015/1166MHz - Gold

76517 marks with Ati Radeon HD 4850 at 1110/1301MHz - Gold
This card doesn't have cold bug, really nice to work with.

    3d06

    33622 marks with Nvidia GeForce 9800 GX2 at 1015/1173MHz -6th place

23035 marks with Ati Radeon HD 4850 at 1103/1301MHz - Gold

    3d05
I still need to learn how to bench 05... too slow for clocks.

    46091 marks with Nvidia GeForce 9800 GX2 at 1015/1161MHz - 6th place

39434 marks with Ati Radeon HD 4850 at 1132/1301MHz -7th place

    Vantage
9800gx2 crashed twice in GT2 so no vantage score completed.

13960 marks with Ati Radeon HD 4850 at 1061/1303MHz -4th place

    3d01
A favorite but had too little time and cpu isn't good enough. Only gx2 for now.

    123800 marks with Nvidia GeForce 9800 GX2 at 1044/1161MHz -13th place

So that's it, around 250 hw points and lots of fun right there
Thanks to elmor and kinc for tek 4 pot and TiN for his awesome guide on how to build a 8800GTX zombie.

Beware, you may want to try and find a stronger 2600K. I'm going to see if I can get a 9800GX2 and beat some of your gold cups.

Sounds good, my gx2 is still alive! Only one gold with it so far though. Better SB and bios would be nice to test, now I had cold slow at -50.

After flashing the coldslow BIOS I'd be interested to hear what the CB of that dual GPU card is and if you can get higher clocks out of it.
What voltage did you run on it? Guess I'd need mods too to get it this high without OVP OCP stuff...

I did vmem, vcore, ocp mod. But that vcore mod is no regular Fb-pin mod, it's wise to adjust as high as possible with software (1.30 v) and then use hardmod to get up to 1.5isch. I used 1.45 V to get 1015 core stable @-45.
