USB 3.0 Port to USB 2.0

Bit of a weird question, and I couldn't find answer anywhere:

I have a case that has USB 3.0 ports on the front panel along with the USB 3.0 mobo connector. I'd like to use those USB ports as USB 2.0. Is there any way to convert the mobo connector to just plug into my USB 2.0 mobo?

Just want those ports to have functionality.

    Cheers

i dont see why it wouldn't work unless its a different shape.

Yes, the plug is different. It has more pins. The USB3 connector has 19 pin holes, while the mob socket for USB2.0 only has 9 pins...

Ok, I am thick.... I did a bunch more research and found this forum post:

There IS an adaptor for USB3.0 to USB2.0 and it was included with the case inside the screws bag. Zoomed right past it when setting up the case (SilverStone Grandia GD06)...
