    Received my GTX580

First of all a big shoutout to the XS member who sold this to me at a decent price and shipped international. Much appreciated.

I've just got my GTX 580 installed today, replacing 2 295's. The first thing I noticed when picking up the GTX 580 was how light it felt - I had honestly expected the cooler to be heavier.

Second big surprise was, with fan speed on auto, putting this through a bit of overclocking to find my stable stock before I go onto water in a months time, is how quiet and un-annoying the stock cooler is! It's nothing like the 4870x2's stock cooler, for example, which had an annoying whine. I don't really hear anything over my case fans. Really impressive.

I've managed a 930/1860/2050 stock cooler 3DM11 stable overclock, with fan speed on auto and 1.15v.

I suppose I am feeling a tad disappointed, in a distant, non-affective kind of way, that I was unable to get 950 on the core stock cooler 3DM11 stable. Hope better clocks come with water. With a result of P6874 w/ my CPU a shade under 4G and RAM at 667 CL9, it's not actually so bad. Got some 2133 CL9 RAM coming in and hopefully pushing the CPU to 4.2~4.3 will help that score out a little.

Anyhow, just wanted to share the experience. Loving the card.

Yes I know I was hoping for a good GPU, but it's not a big deal, this card's just going into a gaming usage computer.
