These are some nice prices for great looking boards!
Will these use UEFI? (Never mind, still BIOS...)
Surprising they are still ATX seeing as they have so many slots!

correct term is actually 4WAY SLI. Quad means dual GTX590, 4WAY is 4xGTX580

Dino, how can the board do 4-way without nf200? Does this mean the end of the stupid nf200 on future Intel boards too?

@Beep it will matter to people that want to bench 4WAY or build systems around some crazy ass high end machine but prefer AMD platform instead of Intel. UD7 is ATX form factor which is a bonus in terms of case flexibility as previous board was XL-ATX and some resellers and end users didnt like that.

I think its pretty cool AMD gets high end gear particularly with Bulldozer just around the corner

@chuch i will go more into it after Computex when i do some 4WAY GTX580 testing . It's still early days to go into details

Works for me. UD5 looks sick! I like that slot layout, but could you tell HQ to just save some pennies by not even bothering with that useless PCI-E x 1 slot? It's just as useless as the one on my UD7.

Edit: Oh and thanks for confirming that BD is NOT delayed.

Useless? Dude, those top PCIe 1x slots are absolutely perfect for my tiny wifi card.

What do you mean "now"? They just added two boards, the other models have been there for two months....

AMD gives out more PCIe lanes from the chipset than intel, on AMD there never was need for nf200.
Thats 4x8 of course but its still much better what sb offers.

Ok then find me a sound card that will go in the UD5. The UD5 is setup just like the P67 boards. X-FI or Asus souind cards aint gonna happen.

Is it me or am I finding none of Gigabyte (and other AM3+ boards from other companies) not too appealing? They kinda cut down on the features and since 790FX hasn't really changed much. Would prefer to see PCI-E 3.0 and more SATA3/USB3 ports on these boards, and whats the point of the 890FX refresh anyway with the black sockets if AMD said that 900 series is more optimized for Bulldozer?
