    Daym, I want the H100

Would be beautiful if the mounting can be modded to go with my GTX580 Lightning (as the lightning already have metal pad covering memories & VRM, I won't have to worry about those )

i must say this, as it is VERY important for many of future buyers.

the H100 will be unable to fully mount on pretty much 99% of cases with config for dual 140/120 fans on top. the 120mm mounting holes are further away then holes on radiator of H100 (+15mm spacing vs 15mm spacing).

    i wonder which would be a better buy/build...the Corsair's H1000 or Swiftech's H20 Edge kit?

    really ?

why would corsair lock themselves out from 99% of market ?

how do you know this ?

    common workaround:
mount 1 fan to the case, the second one to the rad

what if you will have no space for fans and rad inside your case? you will be forced to put rad inside and fans outside and then what? install one on top of case and screwed up with rad, and 2nd will be just laying on top of case?

its not corsair problem. its the cases manufactuers fail to not think and look in to the future.

But why limit to only the top. I'm sure with some minor modding you could get it any way you want.

and its true it wont fit most case, most cases have two 140mm fans up top, with the option of adding a 120mm,
the gap between the 2 fans on the h100 is 15mm
however the gap on cases like the HAF between the two 140mm fan is 15mm, so the gap between the 120mm slots is lot more (20mm)

jeezus how hard is it to make your own shroud...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

erm, Very hard in this case, you have two 120mm fan holes in your case but they are too far apart, a shroud isn't going to help that

the fan closer to the tubes you mount all the way from case to fan to rad, the other fan you just mount just between the fan and rad. it should still line up just fine with the case holes since 2x140mm were lined up 15mm apart. no shroud or weird adapter plates needed, and the only thing sacrificed is a little extra support holding the rad to the case, but its so small and light it wont even matter

Apparently these fit's all Corsair Obsidian cases according to Corsair, if people really want the cooler then get a new case, if not then well don't.

I wonder how the H100 will compare to the XSPC Rasa 750 RS240 CPU watercooling kit as this kit will be its direct competitor.

The H100 fits in every Corsair case, even the just-launched $99 Carbide 400R.

unlikely for the fullcovers but coolit got a universal dual gpu cooler, so maybe corsair will have that kind of product to.

I would like to try modding one of these to use on my video card as I am tired of spending $100 on a waterblock that only fits a component I upgrade every 9months...

I would like to try the H80, but it seems that the pump/block is quite a bit larger than say, the H70 with its circular arrangement.

Redbead can you comment on the relative placement of the retention mechanism between the H70 and the H80? It seems more integrated and thus unmoddable on the H80.
