I'm not jumping on the hate train, I've always enjoyed the SP aspects of CoD however MP isn't my cup of tea, it is for others.

They barely updated the engine, I don't expect a radical change from their previous entry. Oh, and I didn't know they were making a remake of MW2... it looks so similar! They must have change something, I don't know what

I bet the majority of people who es about the engine I bet also owns a ps3 or xbox.. Seriously I actually like this engine it looks far better than whatever Valve uses. I'm still waiting for MW2 to drop in price still confusing why it's expensive.

You quote didn't, it stated CoD hadn't improved the engine, which I corrected you on. You're now saying that the engine hasn't improved since CoD4 now.

CoD5 and above has included streaming textures, MW2 had a variety of extra post processing effects added.

There have also been improvements in the sound system within it.

Could I ask why you don't consider any changes and what in your eyes would constitute a change?

I still think the CoD engine is one of the slickest out there (when treyarch do it). Decent FPS, looks good and the gameplay is smooth.

I may not like what they've done with the franchise, but I do see the improvements in it (even from CoD4 to MW2/BOPs).

And just like Valve the CoD engine is old and dated.

I guess they don't want to change engines because they want this game to run on consoles as well, if this game was developed for PC on a new engine it won't be able to run on the 360 and PS3, guess we can also blame Sony and Microsoft for that as well, if I'm correct.
