    This is true, i used netflix on my ps3 during the entire outage. The netflix application upon starting prompted you to login to psn and if you said ok it would go ahead and fail the initial login, then it would bring up the main netflix screen and prompt you to login again, you select ok the login would fail and you could watch your movies just like normal.

    I'm not sure what EC2 is, but I do know Amazons customer security is a joke as well (just like sony's is/was).

    They don't even require you to enter CVV / CVV2 codes from the physical credit card to add it to an account. Nor to they require any sort of verification that you are the physical credit card carrrier when making purchases with credit card's tied to your account.

    Their only security is the password on your account. I've even emailed them about this, but the person who replied didn't understand what I was talking about, or didn't care. They just went off how their site is encrypted (HTTPS)...
