Daym, I LOVE that EK Supreme HF Cu! How much thit the AM3 stuff sett you back?

I dont understand why you would even considering using a killcoil?

Either way, a nice project! Hope all goes well, and that you reconsider the use of killcoil.

I lost about $200 in total from the loss on the block and motherboard.

And why wouldn't I want to use a Killcoil, there is nothing wrong with it.

    Ouch! $200 is a bit.

Look over at SoMBrA's thread, I explained it there. Some useful information

Today was a good day, as I have won both my small claim suits against Fedex and Dell as they did not show up to defend themselves in my case against them. I was awarded a total of $1000, $500 from Dell and $500 from Fedex.
Last edited by ohms; 10-20-2011 at 08:13 AM. Reason: correction! $500 from Dell, not 550.

Congrats! Well deserved - especially when they didn't even turn up, lol. What "professional" company does act that?
Anyway, I guess you will be putting som of the $$ in hardware, amirite?

Any new thougts on the killcoil, or are you keeping it as is?

    Dun dun dunnnnnnnn!

    You bet it does!

EK Supreme HF Full Cu Nickel plated block mounted. Sexy and awesome.

Time for some surgery! Out comes the 990FXA-UD7 and in goes the Z68X-UD7 I'll post pictures once I get everything mounted inside of the case. Then it's time to start routing all my tubing so I can run my leak test!

Leak test was good, now I just have to let the lines bleed the air out and organize wires, pictures to come tomorrow!

After a successful leak test and a 10 hour Prime95 burn in to test my 5 GHz stability here it all is.

It's still messy as I'm waiting for new rounded SATA cables and looking for some new tubing as I'm having a little problem with the Tygon tubing I purchased. If you look closely where I circled in yellow the tubing is flattening when I turn on my pumps, my flow is still decent at 147 L/h but it is annoying aesthetically.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this or if there is any other alternative for tubing? I noticed that tygon and primoflex tubing are both very thin walled which is most likely the cause.

Primochill LRT is 1/8" wall if you get the 3/8x5/8" or 1/2x3/4" like here http://www.xoxide.com/wacotu.html. Its beyond me why anyone would use 1/16" wall tubing.

    Route that behind the cables?

Well after some testing I figured out that the issue with the tubing flattening was due to the walls of the tubing being too thin. Also, the pump was in a very poor spot being above the reservoir which ultimately gave me bleeding issues.

Ultimately I had to re-position the pumps and re-route tubing. I had to remove the external hard drive cage and move the 3TB Seagate Barracuda into the Hotswap bay and remove my 250GB WD back into the external case it came in.

I am planning on replacing all of the tygon tubing with A-60 neoprene tubing. I just have to wait for my delivery from Frozen CPU.

    Hi!

Great routing for the tubes. However, the more I look at it, i cant help to think it would look much cleaner with black+orange sleeve instead of gray+orange. Might be "just me", but thats my $0.02 A load of job to resleeve, so I understand if it's a no-go for you to do it all over again, lol!

How about putting both pumps+res and flowsensor in the PSU compartment? Would make the mobo-compartment look uch less crammed (specially accompanied with the HDD Hot Swap bay). Just some thoughts.
24 pin atx: Pull it around the mobo tray instead of over. Makes the route shorter?

    Best regards!

Well here she is, 95% completed. I am just waiting on my MNPC Tech "Diamond Knurl" case feet, larger heatsink for my Aquaero 5 XT and a replacement Koolance FM-17 flow meter and I my build will officially be done.

I got my A-60 Neoprene tubing from Frozen CPU and replaced all of my clear Tygon tubing.

    Just some quick numbers,

    CPU Flow - 121.8 L/H

    CPU loop temperature - 28.7 C idle / 36.2 C full load @ 5 GHz - VCore 1.485
    GPU loop temperature - 27.2 C idle / 39.8 C full load

Here is one quick picture I took last night while the lights were off.

    More pictures to come!

Looks much better. I was not fond of how it looked with the CPU block tubing crossing each other; you did a nice improvement with the tube routing. The MNPC aluminum case feet are balling and will look great.

    Overall, very nice job!

The final picture flood should be coming along very soon.

I am just taking the time to zip-tie down all the loose cables/wires into bunches and finishing up some last minute sleeving.

I purchased and mounted a NZXT IU01 USB Expansion module as the GA-Z68X-UD7 motherboard only had (2) internal USB 2.0 headers and I required a total of 5 since the Aquaero 5 XT and the (2) Poweradjust 2 Ultras used them as well. I didn't do any fancy things to hide the module but I did place it out of sight.

I also realized that I do have to order 3 more rounded SATA cables (longer then 10") as I don't want to use flat cables as well as my MNPC Tech case feet.

Here are some "crappy" hold over pictures =)

Better photos will be taken once my SATA cables and MNPC Tech case feet arrive and are installed.

Some new toys from Black Friday sales...

Decided the HT Omega Striker 7.1 would be a good alternative to the SB X-Fi Titanium HD since it would not fit into my setup. It definitely does not dissapoint and the price was right.

The Corsair SP2500 2.1 Gaming speakers are f'n amazing! That is all.

Great looking build, and excellent choice on the sound card. I got the Claro with that same sale. I am excited to see the final pics.

I finally have gotten around to upgrading since I wanted to see what Nvidia had up their sleeve before buying the Radeon 79XX series, I'm glad that I waited.

I just have to wait for EK to release some nice blocks for the cards and I will be in business, I'm not quite sure if I want to use them on air while I wait. These are the Superclocked editions, but alas not the 4GB models as I was impatient! I absolutely love the fact that the PCB is tiny, roughly about the size of the 6600 GT. I may end up getting another one maybe in a month for some triple SLI action.

Here is also what I did with some of my tax return

    18.4" 1920x1080 res LCD
    Intel Core i7 2960XM
    32GB DDR3
    Dual Radeon 6990 2GB Crossfire
    500GB Seagate Hybrid SSD
    500GB Seagate Momentus XT
    Killer NIC 1102

It's 12 lbs. which kills too carry and the 330 watt power brick is huge, damn near the size of the Xbox 360 power brick. The cooling for the M18X works surprisingly well, my crotch hasn't caught on fire yet!

I upgraded the memory, the hybrid SSD and the Killer NIC myself (yes, I am aware I messed up the text in my pictures. I'm just too lazy to fix it. M18X, not MX18)

    Alienware nooooo.

Thats the same as buying an Macbook pro, your paying an Extra £1000 for a label.

Design your own lappy that is stylish, sensible and works a lot better than anything from Dell.
Also you can use it on a train as no one will try to steal it because it glows :P

Heh, not really. It's far from a Macbook, no pun intended but it's apples and oranges. No Macbook can match the performance you get from SLI or Crossfire and the fact that I can put up to an i7 EE in the motherboard if I wanted to. Also the fact that it has no whitelist and I can upgrade to better MXM GPUs if I needed to.

I also do not live in the UK
