6970 + 3 monitor setup

Okay so Im having some difficulties hooking up my Sharp 30" LCD and two of my Hyundai 19" LCD screens to my Sapphire 6970. This is what I have tried:

1. Sharp 30" <----HDMI cable ---> 6970
2. First Hyundai 19" <---VGA cable with DVI adaptor --> 6970
3. Second Hyundai 19" <--- DVI to HDMI cable--> <--HDMI to mini-display port adaptor---> 6970

When I go into CCC, it detects that there are three monitors, but it can only enable two of them at once.

Hope this makes sense. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Way too many adapters... Eyefinity is quite picky, and sometimes doesn't work unless you use the same connector for all three monitors.

Is either one of the adapters an Active Adapter? 1 of them has to be an Active Adapter.

you cannot use mini-DP to HDMi and than further convert to DVI.
you should use instead an minidisplay port to display port cable and than an active displayport to DVI connector (e.g. sapphire SL-DVI adapter is single link DVI is enough for resolutions up to 1920x1200@60Hz, duallink you need when going up to 2560 res)
Also it is not possible to convert from mini display port to dvi and than again to VGA or DMI!

100% working setup:
30" @ HDMI
19" 1st hyundai @ DVI
19" 2nd hyundai @ miniDP @ VGA (adapter cost ~15$) (OR mDP @ DVI ACTIVE cost ~25$)

ok i finally got my "Powercolor Active Mini DisplayPort to Single-Link DVI-D Adaptor". I noticed that it has a female DVI-D and my monitor output also has a female DVI-D.



Do I use a single or dual link DVI-D cable now? It doesnt specific what kind of cable I should use. Thanks

you can use either cable , does not matter...i would go with a Dual Link DVI cable...than you can use it in the future for higher resolutions (if DVI still exists) and its not that much more expensive...
