    What on earth is going on here ??

    I have been getting this every time i run Vantage,yesterday i re-installed W7,and every time i run vantage it crashes to the desktop with this error,tried uninstalling ccc,re-installing ccc,makes no difference,even re-installed Vantage,still happening.It's doing my head in,any ideas would be much appreciated.

    Try updating DirectX.

    Updated DirectX,still same problem,running out of ideas now,lol!!!!

    Hm well I've only ever seen that problem with borked video drivers, screwed 3DM install or when DX has been fubard.

    Instead of a reformat, how about doing a secure erase to your OS drive first before reinstallation? Unless the issue is hardware related, the above mention should work as it resets your HDD to factory state.

    Just a suggestion since you're intending to reformat anyway

    let's just checklist this.

    have you updated your:
    -video drivers
    -motherboard drivers
    -direct x drivers
    -windows 7 patches
    -PCMV updated to latest?
    -are all the PCMark requirements fullfilled? (http://www.futuremark.com/benchmarks...mrequirements/)
    -are you running everything at stock for now? Overclock after you know the program works...

    That's all the items I can think about right now.
