i'm happy that it didn't release on time - made me go for Sabertooth P67 which is a great board and i noticed that Mini Towers are a PITA to work with compared to midis

Very true but I think I'd rather have a board for $20 less or something along those lines. You don't keep back-up video cards? I don't anymore either =/

Most M-ATX boards are pretty stout. I definitely don't see as much flexing going on with them.

Going from a mini to a full tower is an experience. No more cut knuckles from working on peoples cheap, crappy mini towers.

I think he was referring to how the board handles overclocks rather than how much it flexed from the SS mount.

Have you tested 4x2GB PSC or Hypers yet? Is the board as easy as Maximus IV Extreme P67?

I have not tested with four Hyper modules yet. Don't have 4 x PSC to hand. What benchmark do you run with 4x Hypers?

SuperPi 32M I don't care that much about Hypers, just generally asking. However, I have here 4x2GB PSC and I wanted to know if it performs ok

4 X PSCs are a lot easier on this architecture than 4 X Hypers, especially when the IMC is cold (I think you know that). I have the board under the cascade at the moment, so will have to strip it down and try 4 X Hypers when I go back to water cooling.

Thanks a lot Raja! Seems like I'm going to have a good time again, just like my Maximus III Formula last year

My MSI P67A-GD65 is horrible with 2133 divider and I mean it! I tried everything but still couldnt make it work with tRCD 9... 7-10-7 is the best it can do, hence I'll buy the Maximus IV-Gene when it becomes available in Greece. I'll try overclocking 2x2GB PSC, 2x2GB G.Skill 2133MHz Hypers and 4x2GB PSC, hope for some good results

//EDIT: If it's possible for you, can you please test one more thing for me? When I'm on air-cooling I can't get more than 100.4MHz bclk with my GD65 on 2133 divider. When we were testing Maximus IV Extreme P67 for hwbox review, we got 107.2MHz bclk easily on 2133 divider on air-cooling (http://www.hwbox.gr/reviews/11674-as...#content_start). Is Z68 Gene-IV that friendly with bclk on air/water cooling as well? I do have the SS for such things, but it would be so much easier if I could do some proper RAM testing for reviews, with CPU @ air

I know stock has arrived in the US, and should be on shelf by the end of this week at the very latest I'm told.

I'll post some results next week with this board but I can confirm that it is pretty stout regarding overclocking. SLI 580s at 1200/1200 work like a charm with the CPU at 5.6GHz. Now I need to bin another 20 2600Ks for a 5.7-5.8GHz chip

My CPU tops out at 106 BCLK on air even if I use a lower DRAM ratio. With 4X hypers its about 105.

PSC type memory and cold I can get over 108 BCLK

No more personal requests now Georgie - I think I've proven enough already

I picked this board from the hat on Saturday and I am very impressed with the complete package.

The board clocks great, performance is good, stability was perfect, settings worked, and found one bug to about.
That bug being the iGPU voltage displayed in bios was confusing/wrong, I had no problem increasing voltages to reach 2100Mhz iGPU. I maxed out at 106bclk on my chip as well.

I plan to test out the virtu modes and power saving.

The Gene-Z will become my main rig.

Looking good. With PSC I hit 109.4bclk at -100C. I have a feeling that wasn't even the limit as I had everything but vcore and vdimm on auto.

110 can be done with the right CPU - might need to fiddle with Skew Driving Voltage and BCLK Skew to get that. Guide is now up for most BIOS settings at ROG.
