rashio, why do you have soo much vdimm pumping through your ram? your ram can probably handle 250mhz with like only 2.8-2.9vdimm

Thanks guys... I'm in the proces of trying to find a descent oc'er as hard as that sounds...what makes it worse is i'm in SA, no suppliers allow u 2 check sSPecs so its the luck of the draw or buying an existing CPU that some1's tried...

Off topic: whats the general consensus or guesstamation of the overclockability of the prescotts?!

Prescott is SUPPOSED to easyly do 280x15 and on OC forums ive even heard 280x16:o. And why???, its becoze of the 32 stages pipes and the 90Nm core

We haven't even seen one overclocked yet so you can't give out numbers like this.

It should do it, it wouldn't be possible to NOT clock higher than the Northwood, but you get my point.

    Yeah, sure.
I will be most likely installing the hardware today into antec 1080AMG case. Cpu will be cooled by zalman 7000a-cu.
    Other hardware:
    Abit AI7
    KHX3500 with BH5 chips

Just wondering how the crooked socket will effect the cooling performance, since the whole heatspreader wont't be making contact with the heatsink. Oh well, only a small area from two corners that won't make contact, so i should be ok

So far so good, first test at 220MHz fsb, default Vcore and has been priming(two of them) for quite a while now.
Temps are at 43C, this zalman really is nice

At least 3475MHz seems to be stable at ~1.61V. Got error after 20 minutes when running at 3500MHz the first time, but i'll let the cpu burn if for a couple of days
