"Memory remap" feature is missing from the Bios? (Asus P8p67 Pro)

My mobo is Asus P8P67 Pro version 3.0 and I can't find where to DISABLE the memory remap feature.

PS: I have no problem seeing all my 4G (2x2G) memory.

Nowadays the memory remap is always enabled in most MB.

Not trying to derail here, but... What is memory remapping for?

It remaps the top 1GB of memory from the MMIO overlap area between 3GB and 4GB up to where a 64bit OS can get at it. Without it even a 64bit OS would only see 3 of the first 4 GB.

I think you've just explained the problem on my work machine, a P5W-DH Deluxe. Even the BIOS only picks up 3GB.

Exactly, (having just retired a P5W DH Deluxe for this SB build). Enable the remap feature to get 4GB on 64bit.

Also, make sure you have BIOS 2901 or above if running Win7.
