Last week Jan (SuicidePhoenix) told me that he want to bench this weekend and so I decided to visit him just to check out what is possible with some new cards what we got.
After we had this great luck (and bad luck) with our first card I was trying to spot the OC Abilities of the Cards by the Batch of the GPU
Batch of the pretty good first card was 51N3WD.
Batch of the average Card (1500 '03 and 1350 '11) used on MOA was 46NXXX.
Batch of another average LN2 but pretty good air clockin card was also 46NXXX.
Batch of THIS one: 51NXXX.
maybe thats the point but I know its hard to spot Batches on GPU's.
To expensive and u can't see without Heatsink removal.
I had a great time together with Jan. I have to thank him for the great support, some secret tricks, and of course for allowing me to bench this card on his setup. We had a great time!
All what I can say about the ASUS M4E Board is: AWESOME!
I've seen the behaviors compared directly to the GB UD7 and it's not compareable at all there are worls between...
The M4E was running like it should for the hole time. Not one sec we had issues with it. And it was great to see a Sandy Bridge on this incredible clocks.
The Setup:
INTEL Core i7-2600K
(well known by all of you Jan's CPU was hitting some serious Scores some time ago)
ASUS Maximus 4 Extreme
(not compareable to ANY other P67 Board! great work ASUS!)
MSI N580GTX Lightning
(nothing to say about this Card just see the Screen, no OCP-Mod done coz no need)
CORSAIR Dominator-GT 2000C8
(Jan's pretty good Kit)
CORSAIR AX1200W PSU
CORSAIR Reactor R120 SSD
All on LeChucks Benchtable
Cooling stuff:
CPU cooled by Rotary Single-Stage made by PatrickClouds -40°
GPU cooled by Ryba's Fat pot
vGPU: +475mV
vMEM: +150mV
vAUX: +80mV
Card is not CB Free runs down to -165°
unfortunatly we had not the best Performance in GT1 and GT3 with this run.
We've seen 1230 FPS in GT3 on a "just GT3" run before.
In the run after this, with 1650! MHz () we have seen better performance in GT1 and beginning of GT3, but we needed lower temps then -160° and for 1 sec in the end of GT3 we had just -158° and it crashed
After this run the card needs a break coz of a freezed slot.
So there is more inside for some of the next sessions
I will upload some pictures later.
