It is not a good idea to create a terrorist organization to make them fight your enemies. And unfortunately nearly all of the countries in the world do this but a weapon like terrorists you never know when it will point at you as Osama Bin Laden and USA is a good example for this. I think Osama Bin Laden as a virus created by USA and finally USA destroyed the monster they created. But never forget that Osama Bin Laden did the most damage to Afghanistan people thousand of times more then he did to another country.

now it is time to celebrate and i am hoping that countries understand "enemy of my enemy is my friend" is not working on terrorists.

When i'm being paid i always do my job through.

Since that day back in Sept 2001 when I sat and cried for those people I've waited for this day.
My only hope is that it was slow and this pig bled out.

Great news, but sadly after 1 Trillion dollars, 1 million lives lost, countless soldier deaths...mission accomplished...sort of
It will not change the 3 wars, the foreign policy, the loss in privacy rights/patriot act.

What it will change is Obamas re-election campagn, and the justification for the wars(in the minds of people).

All this celebration in this thread over his death extols two things:

    a) Many humans revel in (painful) death,

    b) The circle of revenge is born anew

Yes, you have good points but I'd bet you that those lost soldiers of ours if able to answer from the grave would toss a thumbs up on hearing that Osama was deader than yesterdays fish.
Those soldiers we honor by remembering them in our thoughts and in our actions.
When you see a soldier walk up, extend your hand and say this:" Thank you for your service."
As to Obama, lets just say he ain't my cup of tea..
Oh, nice sig and I meant every word..

    a) in his case there is no thing in my mind as too painful a death..
    b) I'm sure the shooter who got him has some extra rounds available for the next one.

Good riddance, they finally got that . Even though it took 10 years but I guess it was worth it. I wonder how he got sloppy and allowed himself to be spotted and killed, but whatever, justice has been served, now the victims of 9/11 can finally rest in peace.

If you watched the President Obama's address to the nation, he said they got reliable information in August of 2010. About a week ago, they were certain enough of his location that a decision was made to send special forces in to take him out. A firefight broke out in a compound in Pakistan where he was killed. No US forces were harmed. His body is now in US custody.

I'd rather have seen him before an international court of law for his crimes - but this will do.

All in all it does seem like a somewhat hollow victory considering the countless civilian/military lives lost, the bazillion $ spent and the widespread restriction of rights both nationally and internationally.

US militants are called commandos. Arab commandos are called terrorists.

So he was found in Pakistan living in a luxurious mansion and according to the US no intel has been shared with any country including Pakistan. So what this means is that all these years he was in Pakistan with the full knowledge of Pakistani intelligence services, ISI and all this time the US has been providing this nation with military and economic aid.
