Some stats:

Cards killed: 8 (I think)

Cards rejected: 12 (I think)

125 results..... 59 Gold, 17 silver, 9 bronze, 7 4th/5th



The annoyances:

8800 Ultra, 3D06 should have been gold. When I saw my score I figured it was in line compared to Lex' score. When I looked later, I realised GT2 was miles off.

Killing all my 8800GTX cards

HWBot not supporting Unigine 1.0.2 when it's the only version that'll work for me

MTP04 kicking out some great GTS 512MB scores and putting me in 2nd place..... but congrats to him because the scores really are great

GTX260-192 3D01..... Every test froze then dropped back to desktop. In between every test there was 20 seconds of black screen. I gave up when I got a 111K score. Should have been higher... and easier.

Oan.... some of the results are about 6 months old. I am genuinely surprised their rankings have held up so well (and I mean most are still top 5)..... some were done last night I am definitely not in a position where I can bench every day. Most of the serious stuff is done at night because thats when I have free, uninterrupted time

8800GTS 640MB 112SP

They were "released" just as the 8800GT/ G92 launch happened. A few made it to review sites (Hardware Canucks especially) but I thought they were never launched because of how good G92 was. They're on Ebay, most of them are not advertised well. The AIBs who sold them didnt push them hard, they were all about G92.

The cores are G80-101 K0-A2. PCBs are standard G80 GTS. RAM pick is Hynix K0R or K0B... font is faint on my card

i thought the 112sp 640 were only made by evga? even with the extra pipes and decent ram,i'd rather have a good 640 a3 card

Well..... the 112Sp cards are all reference. Palit, BFG, XFX and eVGA have them.

It's a hard call about 96SP A3 Vs 112SP A2.... I think in the right hands, the 112SP should win


Never seen an Asus 9800GT Ultimate over here.... Galaxy have a 9600GSO OC that unlocks to 128SP and 256-bit!! I almost got one of those... wish i'd not been so tight about the cost

Awesome work man, I am like you I could spend a week on a card and still not be happy with the scores, now I force myself to just move on.

Congratulations Kenny, it's damn impressive what you did! I also have a lot of G80 cards, they were awesome cards, but I first need to get some LN2 and time in order to properly bench them! One of my Ultras does 970/1220 @ -100*C
