    Foxconn Motherboard & SSD Compatibilty

Hi, not too hot with SSDs so looking for a bit of advice.

I have the option of getting a OCZ Vertex 2 60GB SSD (for a competitive price) and was wondering whether the following two motherboards will support it.

    Foxconn Bloodrage GTI X58

    Foxconn Cinema II Deluxe

What things should I be looking at?

I'm sure that the X58 board will support ACHI but does the Foxconn Cinema II Deluxe?

    Thanks

On Blood Rage it will pretty surely work, I have 40GB Intel in that.

Cinema II Deluxe .. in theory it should work, but in practice I never managed to get AHCI working on this chipset and southbridge, though I dont have Foxconn board but DFi. There was quite a few issues with 700 series SB from AMD with AHCI. It could be solved by manufacturer (I think few GB mobos worked) but dunno, its not Quantum-Force, its just consumer mobo from Foxconn.

I tried this board with couple of different SSD - OCZ Vertex (60GB), Patriot (60GB), G.Skill Falcon (64GB, 128GB) and Phoenix (120GB) - no any problem and AHCI (resp. TRIM) works flawlessly under Windows 7 .

Right, not tired with the Bloodrage GTI but the Crucial 64GB M4 SSD which I eventually went for work fine in AHCI with the Foxconn Cinema II Deluxe.
