Get all the Angry Birds game, great time killers.

Pandora is a must, as well as Slacker for music.
Also for music, I like TuneWiki for preloaded tunes on my phone,
and for syncing with Itunes I like ISyncR, check it out.

Astro is a great file management/sd app.

Vignette KILLS the default camera, its great!

Also, look into rooting/custom roms/kernels/radios etc. Its a whole new world!

Did you create a nandroid backup before you flashed the Kernel? If so reboot into recovery and flash it. If not you may have to restore via adb

Look for a nandroid for your phone or even a full rom for your phone around the net and flash it via adb, which recovery are you using?

Nice just make sure you make a nandroid backup this time it makes everything a whole lot easier if something doesn't jive right with your phone. How did you end up getting it to work?

Taskiller, XBMC Android Remote, Jorte as Calendar, Tunein Radio for Internetradiostreams, eBuddy as Messenger, The Impossible Game as a great Timekiller
and of course the best tool ever made: Connectbot for SSH and such stuff

Zotac Zbox w/ Linux Console only + SSH + moc + Android + Wlan = Epic Win

why do people, who seem to have absolutely no clue what they're doing, feel the need to root their phones? i don't get it. rookies most likely just void their warranty and brick their phones without even utilizing any of the features a rooted phone has over a stock one.

What's Gingerbread? Or is it just gingerbread, the food?
Advanced Task Killer is pretty great.

It's the android version 2.3 codename.

Version 2.2 codename is Froyo for example.

Try out Amazon.com app store, get the free "paid" app they give away every day, but only download the ones you want to use. Can get a lot of good programs for nothing that way.

Can you elaborate, What can you do when you've rooted and flashed your android device? I'm already using Superuser.. which allows access to everything i do on the device..
