Anyone know the value of this missing cap?
Anyone know the value of this missing cap?
I'm 99% certain that it's the same as in the cap above it, desolder one and measure.
But that should not stop the card from working as it seems it's in parraller with those other caps.

I'll try it without. Don't have a capacitance meter atm, which is why I asked.
I got the card on eBay as 'faulty' but I thought I knew what the problem was. But after seeing it I'm a bit suspicious as to whether it died (or not) from natural causes, or whether it was actually abused (oven mod gone wrong).
I'll solder down the dislodged cap and fix the other problems, then report back here
It looks to be a smoothing cap. The card should function without it.
yeah i dont think this is what keeps the card from running...
ive knocked off caps like that one that were soldered in a row before and it didnt do anything...
only time ive seen these caps prevent proper functioning was on a ddr3 dimm, but it was a single one so after it was missing there was no contact...
