    [lab501.ro] M4E + 2500k + Corsair Hyper = ALL WR

    Finally got the time to push this CPU to the limit with the excellent 1485 BIOS for Maximus IV Extreme. Big thanks goes to Corsair for providing me an Elpida Hyper kit which works very good on Sandy Bridge!

    This way I refreshed my old scores and also managed to tweak SPI32M properly and get the last WR that was missing !

    Test system:

    CPU: Core i5 2500K
    MB: Maximus IV Extreme (rev B3) 1485 BIOS
    RAM: Corsair 2x2GB CM3X2G1333C9D (Elpida Hyper)
    PSU: Corsair AX1200
    Cooling: Dimastech Single-Stage

    Results:

    • WR SPI 1M -> 6.250s @ 5931MHz

    • WR SPI 32M -> 5.41.407 @ 5927MHz

    • WR PiFast -> 12.47s @ 5930MHz

    • WR WPrime 32M -> 5.109s @ 5916MHz

    • WR WPrime 1024M -> 162.797s @ 5916MHz

    • WR CPUz -> 5931MHz

    Thanks for reading,
    matose

    Batch is L041C. With more BCLK the frequency stops earlier, didn't yet figure out why

    Well done! I love that Corsair sent you one of their "Secret Hyper" kits. 1333 C9 is so hard for Hypers lol

    What kind of voltages were you pushing on the memory for these speeds/timings?

    Thanks! One problem I have with Aquamark, I didn't manage over 420k with 5900MHz on CPU and 1050MHz on HD5870... I saw some scores with 2600k and it's about 10-15k points better, cache make so much difference?
    I tried different OS (Win 7, Vista) and with patch and rename tweak... wtf?

    wow nice scores, so close to 6ghz!!

    Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

    Great work with the WR´s .. keep pushing it

    Nice results mate after winning MOA EMEA

    I think cache makes a different in AM3... because this bench scales with every setting (cpu, gpu, uncore, ram, timings). So I see no reason why AM3 should not scale with cache...

    Keep pushing
