Don't forget it's not the preview of the Browser IE 10, it's a basic skeleton of the Internet explorer 10, who have only the value to show some features of it... I can't even call it a beta .

So if they are showing snippets of IE10 already does that mean they are saying IE9 sucks?

Should be an indication that WIN 8 is less bloated than previous OS, considering that the aforementioned turtle-speed-CPU can run it decently.

All systems sold. Will be back after Sandy Bridge!

I wonder what Intel plans now... if they can't beat ARM at their own game...then they can kiss their market share goodbye in the long term...

I see no mention of "Windows 8" except in the comments.

I recall reading that no versions of Windows 7 are compatible with ARM due to the vastly different architecture. That being the case, and since I've been told Windows 8 does support ARM (via alpha testing of W8), I'm quite sure you're looking at windows 8 that is still utilizing a GUI that is close to identical to W7, much like the Alpha i've tested.

Considering this is way to early to tell anything its hard to say. We will get a better look when its closer to production. I'm sure Windows 8 will be a little more different than what this is showing.

Windows8 isnt done from scratch, they obviously base it on 7.
When is it a modified 7 and when is it early 8?
What matters is, its desktop Windows running on ARM, and an already shipping ARM platform at that, not some future platform... to me that's veeeery interesting

I'd love a full version of Windows running on an ARM based tablet using an UI designed for a touch interface that could dual boot into Android.

or just goes to show how inefficient x86 has become... WIN 8 having a full build designed for ARM based chips and Nvidia's transition into desktop style ARM based chips could signal a massive shift in where computers go in the future. x86 has been around for a LONG time. I for one would be happy to see another option and see more performance unlocked by using more efficient chips...

So you want more efficient but slower chips?

Yes, I am aware of advantages ARM ISA has over x86, and why RISC is better than CISC, but there is absolutely no way ARM would perform better than x86 when it comes to raw performance, as it stands now. With RISC the speed much more about software anyway, as RISC machines can benefit so much more from compiler optimizations than CISC machines.
