    360 + 120 radiator worth the trouble/money/performance?

You can check my sig for a link to what my setup previously looked like. I just got an Obsidian 800D and a 360 Black Ice GTX Gen2 Xtreme radiator. I plan on running my OC'd 970 (1.35-1.4Vcore) and my HD5970 in my loop, and in the next few weeks I plan on upgrading to an EK'd HD6990. I'm in TJ09 I had the same setup running off of a couple of cheapo radiators (240 + 120). My video card never exceeded 45* under load, and my CPU never exceeded 55* (unless I was running Prime/LinX etc), so I'm assuming my temps were respectable for my setup. The 800D has room for the 360 radiator on top, and I can fit my cheapo 120 in the rear, but I'm wondering if this is even worth it. I just got the case and thus don't want to mod it, so installing a 2nd 360 or a 240 isn't really an option at the moment. So my question is, would the 2nd 120mm radiator be worth installing? If I were to purchase a higher performance one would it be worth it? I'm just not exactly sure if the added radiator is going to cause flow restriction to where it does more harm than good. The pump I'm using is a Swiftech 655 installed in an XSPC dual bay res.

    I have a XS360 up top and a RS120 off the back in my 800D. No problems with a single 655 in a K.452x2

Did you add the RS120 on the back because you needed better performance or simply because you already had it? I guess I'm trying to avoid the 120 altogether if I can

I wanted more leeway then a single 360 with an i7 @ 4.3 and dual 6970's would handle. That and it was only an extra $20 (well plus two fittings so like $25 total). As to how much it helps, I really don't know as I don't have any basis of just the 360 rad.

    Hi,

Every amount of cooling helps and if remote from each other helps
in the radiation part of it.

Was going to just go with 240 up and down but with old H50 rad in
the back just replaced it with a bigger 120 since free space.

    Cheap and figure:
Dropped temp another 5c or more. 600.5 now and idles at high 30s
at 4.5-4.7. Run it at 4.5+ plus 24/7.
Pretty much internal as no brackets or attachments.

    Add the 120.

I'm a firm believer in using as much radiator as you have room for.

I would personally mount the 120.1 if possible.
