SOLVED - Went to SSD...can't reinstall WGC/BOINC
Recently went the route of an SSD for my OS/Pragrams drive and RAID 1 for all other data on my Work PC (see sig for specs). So in order to move WGC/BOINC to my regular spinners I stopped getting new WU's, finished everything already in que and then uploaded everything. Stopped and exited BOINC and then copied my BOINC data folder to another location. Then unistalled WGC/BOINC and rebooted in order to do a custom reinstall.
Well, now I can't reinstall...I get a "Error 1606. Could not access network location." with Retry and Cancel buttons. This is with WGC/BINC 6.10.58 which is what I was running. I even tried the new recommended BOINC 6.10.60 and same thing.
Anybody else ever run into this? I want to get back to crunching ASAP!
EDIT: Went into registry and deleted all references to BOINC, Berkely and WGC. Rebooted and reinstall and data move went perfect.
Live and learn...Now back to crunching.

It may be something with your upgrade and windows installer:

As an aside, to make it easier to move BOINC around, I've found that installing like this:
<drive>:\BOINC
<drive>:\BOINC\Data
makes things easier because everything is under one directory. When you upgrade or change drives, you just copy the BOINC folder and reinstall using custom directories.
You also don't have to worry so much about UAC on Vista/Win7.
