    Koolance EXT-440CU

Ran into this while browsing koolance:
    http://www.koolance.com/water-coolin...roduct_id=1158

Uses a PMP-300, - ehh.. wish they did it with a DDC.
    A single 120x1 Copper radiator...

Seems like it would do a GPU only loop with "acceptable" values.
Well, i think it might have problems with 2 high end, or more.

    Miyuki: W3580 6GB DDR3 P6T-Dlx
    Lind: Dual Gainestown 3.07
Sammy: Dual Yonah Sossoman cheerleader. *Sammy-> Lind.*

[12:37] skinnee: quit helping me procrastinate block reviews, you asshat. :p
[12:38] Naekuh: i love watching u get the firing squad on XS
Its my fault.. and no im not sorry about it either.

Probably sufficient for something like cooling motherboard FC + ramblocks .. but at it's price .. thanks, but no thanks. It's hard to see good niche for it.

I thought this was a bay device for a minute.

EDIT: Which actually brings up an interesting idea. On many big cases, the top bay device clears the top of the motherboard. What if you have a bay device that spans horizontally 3 x 120 mm with in-built pumps, temp sensors etc. It would require there being air vents on the top of the case, though...

Or what about a bay device that spans 3 slots, and makes for a single 120 rad with pump and rad. Many cases have 3 slots to spare.

This is where something like a single MCR120 drive would work well.

300 usd + 6 month tear down, or 70 usd and no tear down and similar temps.

It might have it's niche .. ONLY if it were priced to some 50-100$. Otherwise it's much cheaper to cool those pc components, heat dump of which is fitting for this kit, by including them in generic loops. (mentioned above mobo FCs/ramblocks, or middle end single gpu-s). But 300$? Throw in price of universal gpu wb + 2 fittings .. at such price one might add those 350$ to price of middle end gpu and downclock top end gpu. This way user would get both better performance AND quiet cooling + more future proof hardware.

Well like has already been said, I thought it was a bay device and was like, ok, but then I looked at the pics and saw the price. You would be better off with one of their external kits that sit on top of the case.

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

Never really got what Koolance's motivation is to make these kinds of things... $300 for a kit with a single radiator? I'll just stick to building my own systems, thank you .

Well I can see for someone really lazy that wanted an all in one cooler for northbridge chipsets/vregs/ full board blocks while benching it has a purpose. QD the thing and just pop it on whatever you are benching at the moment. But at that price I can't see it being justified as a beefier H50/H70 etc since it uses a single rad.

If the last would apply, I can see why some people would get those kits .

I think I know what this is for, when I first seen it I thought prebulit htpc builds. But apparently you can get rail kits for it as well.

Despite an L-bracket power option, computer cooling isn't our primary market for this product.

This item would go perfect in a Thermaltake Armor 2+ case. Maybe Tim's goal is to replace the crappy BigWater water cooling system.

    Don't you mean window shopping?

And Tim, I'd also like to know what market you're targeting with this product if it's not computer cooling .

As I understand it, it doesn't run on wall outlet it runs off molex ?
I better go read the manuel and not just the web page blurb.

I thought it was for av racks external kit that ran off htpc ps

We sell an AC inverter option for all of our 12VDC externals. It's still left at 12VDC stock for customers using a computer or voltage generator.

This is primarily for customers that need a self-contained cooling unit with a lower heat dissipation requirement, or they have a higher acceptable temperature range than an enthusiast PC.

I saw that! Yes, this would be fine for low heat loads or CPU-only cooling. It does use a 30FPI copper rad. But we aren't calling it "Exos" since it didn't really fit into that same format.
