It's broken
Okay....so everyone has seen the name spoofing April Fools joke we pulled.
There were also a few merger threads, but of course those weren't true. In the process of removing them and also undoing the name spoof.
But we're having a problem with the name spoof....it's broken and we can't figure out how to undo it.
At this point it's looking like we'll need to repair each account manually and that will take awhile.

Changing 100 names to 1 name is easier than changing 1 name to 100 different names it seems
And we did it to a lot more than 100 members...
Admins are back to normal now...will tackle the remaining hundreds over the next week I guess.

so quick question, since its all in an SQL data base (or so i think thats how it works) why not get all users with a display of MM then loop a script that takes those users and gets their real name, then saves it as a variable and changes their display name to the variable. but i would think that it would have been tried 1st.

I really hope this can get straightened out. I have having to quote someones post in order to see who is speaking.
Click on "movieman" where their normal name should be, the dropdown box will contain their normal name.
