    GIGABYTE's new powerhouse Z79A-UD13

    http://gigabytedaily.blogspot.com/20...mb-with-8.html

Time for a quick preview of what we’ll be showing at Computex in June this year; it’s the new GA-Z79A-UD13 motherboard with 8-way SLI/CrossfireX via 4 additional PCIe bridge chips. It also features an unbelievable additional 14 SATA ports (8 from the chipset + 14 for a total of 22) from 7 Marvell controllers that can be found under the specially extended South Bridge heatsink, together with the PCIe bridge chips. Due to its extended size, we’re calling this the XXXXL-ATX form factor and are working with all your favorite case manufacturers to have chasses available at launch day.

Keep an eye on this blog, facebook and the official GIGABYTE website for more on this and other innovative products at Computex 2011.
not allowed to show the REAL deal just yet but close enough anyways

Oh yes, I suppose it is that day after all. I for one would actually welcome such a board since I never have enough slots, but hey.
Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.

    Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.

    Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.

    Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.

    Rule 3:
When it comes to computer news, 70% of Internet rumors are outright fabricated, 20% are inaccurate enough to simply be discarded, and about 10% are based in reality. Grains of salt--become familiar with them.

Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!

    Random Tip o' the Whatever
You just can't win. If your product offers feature A instead of B, people will moan how A is stupid and it didn't offer B. If your product offers B instead of A, they'll likewise complain and rant about how anyone's retarded cousin could figure out A is what the market wants.

8-way SLI/crossfire? Yes please. 22 Sata ports too. That's no joke.

That's a gigantic SB btw. Very long.

Actually I'd like such a board. Then I could use 4 Tek9 Fats for 4-way SLI/CF Ultimate in lazy man benching.

Fake of course. And you can only do 4 way SLI, anything above that is not supported and I don't see any other NVIDIA card that offers more SLI connectors.

I heard it only supports next-generation Pentium 4 CPUs.

Lol, that's a horrible photoshop right there.
But it's still funny, I had to look at it for a sec to know.

A long @ss board like that would be kinda neat but it would need a custom case.

I haven't seen cpu pcie card's for a couple years now...
That's the 1st thing that comes to my mind when I see that many extra slots.

    Edit:
    FlanK3r, lol nice theme.
This forum should of did something like that lmao.

    CPU: AMD Phenom 1090T
    CPU Heatsink: NZXT Kraken X60
Mobo: ASUS Crosshair IV Formula (2101 BIOS)

VGA: nVidia Grid VGX K2 (Only got 1 out of the 2 gpu's at the moment)
    Monitor: ASUS VG278HE & 3DVision2 Kit
