    [lab501.ro] 3 WR's with 2500K @ 5.92GHz

    Seems that cold did wonders for this chip. On air it did 5.7GHz almost stable for SPI 1M with only 2 cores, but when I put it on SS it growed a pair of wings

    Direct boot in WinXP @ 5900MHz and 4 core with only 1.55-1.6v and I was... WOW! On air this is a very hot CPU idling at 61 degrees with 1.6v (Prolimatech MegaShadow + 120x120x38 2100rpm), so I think this is the secret for scaling so good on subzero.

    Also, special thanks to poparamiro which pushed me to put this chip on cold and was with me on the phone when I booted for the first time at 5.9GHz!

    Test system:

    CPU: Core i5 2500K
    MB: Maximus IV Extreme (rev B3) 1303 BIOS
    RAM: A-Data XPG Plus 1866+ CL8 with Corsair SPD (Elpida Hyper)
    VGA: MSI N580GTX Lightning
    PSU: Corsair AX1200
    Cooling: Dimastech Single-Stage

    Results:

    #3 SPI 32M (unoptimized, wrong OS, no wazaa) -> 5.51.562 @ 5884MHz

    WR SPI 1M (no wazaa) -> 6.328s @ 5919MHz

    WR PiFast -> 12.55s @ 5919MHz

    WR CPUz -> 5919.6MHz

    Thanks for reading,
    matose

    Awesome 59X chip

    Congrats Matose

    Could you try 57X and higher BCLK? That will be crazy fast

    Wasn't 57x the max multiplier available on SB CPUs? Interesting to see 59x there. What's up? Higher multipliers available thanks to some motherboard hacks or what? Anyway, it's nice to see that artificial limitation going away. Kickass CPU you've got there! Keep up the good work

    Thanks a lot guys! This is my 4th or 5th chip, I traded a 2600k for it

    This is old batch (L041C124) so don't go running to the stores because the new batches are crap

    For some reason, the M4E was stuck at 59x

    Will run some 2k1 and SPI 32m on a GB board because my kit of Hypers don't run above 1000MHz with M4E

    Congratz on an amasing find... great clocks, here's comes Lab 501 dominating the 2/3D scene
    Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

    Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree
