Think it is the same toolbox as the Vertex 2 since it is based on Sandforce too.

It works. Right click and run in XP compatability mode if you have to...
Works great.

Wasn't sure if anyone had posted a benchmark for 2x 240GB Vertex 3's in RAID 0 so I just ran AS SSD real quick.
Already have a few games/programs/data, etc installed so the performance has probably dropped a little. This is all using the onboard RAID from a Gigabyte UD4-B3. Run under Windows 7 x64 Ultimate.
Lemme know if I can run any other tests if people want to know anything about 2x240 in RAID 0. Absolutely loving this combo though. Good bang for the buck.

Something's wrong with kgk's 4K writes ...286 vs. 46 ????
Write cache enabled?

The difference in performance is no OS VS OS on the array?
Some preliminary test with OCZ Vertex 3 120Gb Maxiops on ocz forum (on P67 sata 6Gb/s):

38MB @ 4K QD1 Read? Nice!![]()
AS SSD is more or less correct at QD1.
That 4K QD1 write result is rather high, the 240GB V3 is nowhere near that figure.

so are the max iops not equating to the low QD? say it aint so sam!
we need some more detailed testing...gah! wish i could afford a couple (or 8) of them!

So, a new firmware in the making
Are you disabling write flushing to go beyond 100MB/s on 4K writes at QD1?
Using standard settings my 240GB stays at around 75MB/s

Hardware:
Just a standard UEFI Win7 install. No setting have been changed.

yea that 4k qd1 write is very good! always have to remind myself im looking at a single device when i look at the V3 benchiesUBER
