Well I have now had my Mach 2 GT upgraded by Little Devil and am planning my next upgrade...
I have been out of Overclocking for some years and am now trying (hard) to catch up with what's new. And wow has OC changed over the last 3 years.
So I'm looking at a i7 - 2600k and a P67 Sabertooth to add to my modded Mach 2, however I'm getting some conflicting reports that sandy bridge does not like minus temps? Is there a cold bug? Will I be better off with an extreme non-sandy bridge chip? I note some benchers getting near 5 ghz on air!??
Can anyone recommend the P67 board? I want to set a budget of about £500 for the chip, motherboard and memory so that rules out a Maximus IV or an extreme chip. (If it's the only way then I wil have to wait and save some more pennies).
I'm aiming for 5Ghz with SLI (I have to 460s) 24/7 stable.
Your advice would be most welcome as there is so much info out there its all a bit confusing!
