    EVGA 2win: Doesn't work on non-sli board

Yep, that's right. I went over to EVGA's forum to do some reading on this card.

Unless your motherboard supports SLI, you cannot run this card. For a lot of us, this isn't a viable option.

I'm very disappointed. I wonder if this spells doom for the KFA2 and Galaxy 560x2 cards.

I know a lot of you guys weren't considering this card anywyas, but what do you guys think?

If this is true then this card = FAIL. It won't sell worth a damn as there is zero reason to get it instead of two GTX460s.

You also can't SLI two 2wins, so what's the point of the card?

I'm hoping KFA2 and Galaxy will address this issue. The GTX295/590 will do SLI on non-SLI boards.....

EVGA, oh youv'e done it! Now you've really done. You've gone and fudged the bucket.... and told me too many words to know!

    Edit:

I'm now going to refer to this card as the 2fail unless something changes.

WTF EVGA, that sounds so retarded, so what happens if you plug it on a non SLI board? Will it boot up or will it just one GPU? Pretty stupid from EVGA really...

Very stupid. GTX295 dual PCB works fine on my Asus CHIV... May be worth trying it on a single slot Nvidia chipset and single slot AMD or Via chipset. Although I'm guessing you have...

    maybe the question was misunderstood?

thats all I can think of really.. thats almost as bad of a screwup as the overheating 570/590 VRM's..

That makes no sense, the whole point of making this kind of card is giving a CF board SLI. If there is a NF200 chip on the card they are wrong.

As I keep following that thread, no one from EVGA has corrected any statements being made about the card. A few claim it's been forgotten about, whatever that means.

I hope this is a confusion and it will work. I'm confused as well. This makes no sense. Hopefully by the time it's released, there'll have reviews confirming or denying what people have discussed.

I appologize to everyone. I read this on the EVGA forums. With no fix by any mod for while, I figured maybe there's something to it. That's why I sent the link...

As for the actual prodcut, newegg has it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130626

Well, ended up getting a reference Nvidia GTX 580 from the f/s thread in EVGA forums for really good price, if it were at least 375 buck i would have bought it. But other then that at least is good to know that it doesn't need SLI board.
