    CM 690 II - Mariazinha

    Hi everyone.

I present my modest atempt in modding this case and creating a dual loop system.

My goal is achieve a clean look with most of the wires, pumps and rad's all concealed.

I know the quality of both the modd's and the photos aren't the best but bear with me - I am still learning...

So now the hardware list :

    MotherBoard - Asus P67 Pro
    Cpu - Core i7 2600k
    Ram - Gskill RipjawsX DDR3 1600Mhz 4GB - CL7
    Gpu - EVGA 580 SC
    HD - SSD OCZ Vertex 3 - 60GB
    Storage - Samsung 250 x2 (raid 0)

    Watercooling list:

    XSPC RS240 x2
    Swiftech MCP350 x2
    Swiftech Apogee XT
    EK FC580 GTX - Nickel
    Tubing - PrimoChill 5/8 Clear
    Conectors by BitsPower

This Project will be called Mariazinha.

So now on with this build.

    MotherBoard Fully Dressed

    GPU Dressed

    Case all naked

I/O Shield Painted and Placed, PSU threaded for new screws and Lian Li Aero Slots

New Vertical Plate with SSD Mount. This piece is made in acrylic and with vinyl aplied.

Lower Section separation plate with rad and connections

    In Place

    Another View

Overall View of the work so far (Still a long way to goooooooooo). Just did a quick mock up for you guys to see what's coming. Everything will sit flush when it's finished.

    Hope you enjoy!

    Yesss more 692 builds!

I am actually in the process of fabricating my PSU shield however I have chosen to go down the perspex road.

What did you make yours out of? How'd you do the bending?

EDIT: Dw I finally learnt to read!

This piece was originally intended to be in aluminium but the tollerances available between the 2 passtrough's conectors that are right next to each other and the PSU made a clean bend impossible. That being so 2 separate acrylic pieces were made (from 4mm and 2 mm acrylic) and then black mate vinyl was aplied.

Both pieces are held together by a groove carved in the 4 mm acrylic. If you desire i can take a more detailed pic tomorrow.

    Yes please

As this is the stage I am up to on my build (albeit I have a lot more hardware to fit into mine).

Glad someone else out there is taking the time to work with this awesome case

    ..Update..

HD cage back in place after a litle grinding and paiting.

Did a almost definitive mock up with the hardware to test the loops.

Still not happy with cpu loop so i'll change the block so that the tubes are paralel

View of the pump area (dont mind the double sided tape it is only temporary)

Test mock up for the backplate. Still working on the design. In the end this will be nickel plated.

New parts are arriving monday so until then.... Time for sleeving xD

    Hope you enjoy

    Good morning everyone.

As promissed here is the update.

I have to warn there are a lot of pics ^^ This is a build where i try to learn and develop my modding skills as well as my photografy skills.

    Hope it comes out well!

Let's begin with the new acrylic pieces. After the mock up's i did some tweeks and with the final dimensions here is the result

(here u can see i had to cut 2 of the pass trough because there wasnt enough clearance. AS these are nickel plated they were extremelly dificullt to get a acceptable colour. A lot of sanding went here....)

(close up of the joint as requested by PB)

(here a little surprise - first mock up)

    (Finished :P)

    (will look extremelly cool)

    (aquaero 5 LT)

(mounted in the underside of HDD cage)

    Res with temp sensors

    Top Panel mounted

    Remember this?

    Flipped

(and here is where it goes. It covers the two tube holes just perfectly)

And now a few random shots of the work done.

    (same photo with lighter ilumination)

I will post the full detail of this work once the new update comes out. For now it's only a little teaser.

    Hope you enjoy

    Excellent work!

You have set the bar for my internal acrylic work, I hope to do it justice and come up with something just as great
