Unable to use 12GB of G.Skill RAM on BloodRage

As the title states I'm unable to boot my PC with a new set of G.Skill RipJaws 12GB [3 x 4GB] installed. It boots just fine with one stick and 2 sticks installed; it just won't do crap with the 3 of them in [no matter which stick I switch around]. Here is the Newegg link to the set in question: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231358

I took it out of my OC'ing rig and into a regular PC to give it to a friend. It is using a 650w PSU [I tried it with my current CoolerMaster 1000w and it still would not work, just in case you wondered if it was PSU related]. It is running a 920 CPU in plain vanilla settings. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You have to flash G44 or newer (P11 official) bios to boot with 12GB on BR/BR GTI.

Question though.... since the first bit of info was released about the board they said it supports 12GB of RAM. They waited until beta release G44 to add the support?????

When BR was released, there wasnt 3x4GB kit for reasonable money. Unless you think that 1000 USD (or more) is reasonable for memory. It was taken that it can support it in future, but there was zero need for it at that time.

I think that today is just right time for beign able to use 3x4GB kits, since they start to be priced quite ok.

yes the board should have supported 12gb but no one released it did not.
which is why the newer bios to fix

it be like sandybridge that should support 32gb till the memory is out no one now if it works or not.

I suppose the situation with 12GB/24GB support was similar on many X58 boards, for example DFI LANPARTY UT X58-T3eH8 - the beta bios to support 24GB ram was released on 2010-09-08 (click on Beta Site):
    http://www.dfi.com.tw/portal/CM/cmpr...rmal&mode=view
    Major Reasons of Change:
Support triple channels 24GB memory size.
That was even after DFI desktop boards' official death.
