Ok, I have just one thing to say... where are you getting a clocked 460 will hit 580 performance from diltech? It won't. A Single clocked 460 will give a 470 a run for its money, but nothing more. Unless you were specifically talking about a SLI config (didn't read that way to me).

UPDATE
Alright guys, i have been doing some thinking right now lol, what you think about ditching my 460s and just picking up 1 590 and OCing it with a nice waterblock :P? or maybe 1 580? Or would my 460s still beat a single OCed 580? I was looking at some benchmark reviews and was impressed with the outcome, but the only problem i see is that the 590 OCing isnt so great, as if they have donwgraded the core on it. Seems like the HD6990 card is a good OCer but everyone always complains about the drivers . I been a Nvidia guy since day 1 , i was thinking of changing but Nvidia seems to have their together now.

SLI 460 is much better than gtx 580, a 590 isnt worth the investment even without paying big money for a WB for the performance gain. your at 1080p what cant you run with 460 SLI and be happy? I can play anything maxed, maybe not metro but i dont even own it and crysis? whats crysis? If anything would be worth it, try to get a couple 6950 2gb cards for $500 and unlock them, good luck with ati drivers in crossfire though.

BC2 runs PERFECTLY and FAST for me on my 460's and I've been playing alot of games, the only thing NV sucks at is black ops and its better with 270.51's. Its still not as smooth as on a 6970 though, runs better with 1 460 I found last night.
I kind of wouldnt mind 560 SLI OC'd though

Ya but the 560 sli would only be such a minor increase that def wouldnt be worth it, if i upgrade i would like to do something really good

If you want to "upgrade" at all, sell your 460s, pick up a single 2GB GTX560 and clock the snot out of it. You will get 570 beating performance in most cases.

I am running 2x Gigabyte 460gtx SOC cards now in SLI. No need to even OC them further as they handle everything just fine.
At first I wanted to go with a 580gtx but these 460's rock pretty hard.
I only game at 1920x1200 as I have a Dell 24" wide screen so going with anything more powerful really doesn't buy me much.
So what's all this jazz about the 600 series cards ? Maybe I should stick with what I have and see what will be offered this fall .? I think that's when they should be hitting the market if I'm not mistaken .

"Downgrade" is relative. If Aedubber is looking for lower power draw, lower temps (not just on the card but the system as a whole), guaranteed decent FPS in any game without having to rely on SLI (we all know SLI doesn't play nice with some games), even better OC potential (GTX560 tends to average 950+ on the GPU with even 1GHz being quite common) and additional frame buffer for those high resolutions and textures all in one card, then the 2GB GTX560 is certainly not a downgrade.

I don't know of any games that don't work with sli, at his res unless he wants to run over 4x aa in a couple games there's no way you need more than 1GB any 2gb 560 or 580 is COMPLETELY a downgrade.

You are talking purely from a FPS standpoint. I am not, and have already highlighted a plethora of reasons why somebody may choose a 2GB GTX560 with the snot clocked out of it. GTX570+ performance is nothing to sniff at and would manhandle 99% of games @ 1920 as can be seen here, albiet that review being for the 1GB model as there isn't any good 2GB model reviews yet.

Hmm 2gb 560s in SLI would be fun, think it would handle the 4gb hd6990 and the 3gb gtx590 ?

I wish MSI TF2 560s had been available with 2 Gb ram.
That would be major overkill, but super sweet to have.
No idea, but its fairly safe to assume the 2GB 560s will clock about the same as the 1GB models. I'd say only go for twin 2GB 560s if you can get most of the funds through selling your 460s as theres no direct data to compare to. The closest I can find is this, comparing SLI 560s with a single 460 in the list. Based on that you can roughly put SLI 460s @ 36-38FPS, compared to the 560s @ 43FPS. Stock for stock, not a huge difference, but again they are the 1GB cards, 2GB 560s would probably fair a little better (more memory for textures).
Its a tight call and if I had to guess 1GB 460s OCd to the max in SLI vs 2GB 560s OCd to the max in SLI there will maybe be +12% - +17% difference. Which very roughly would bring the 560s to 50FPS. ONly way to know for sure is for somebody to take the plunge. My final food for thought words though; look at what I'v just done, I went and bought a new 1GB GTX460 for £145 instead of a 1GB GTX560. As good as the GTX560 is, price-wise in the UK its just not worth £200 with plenty of 460s kicking around still.
