Would this pump position be ok? MCP355 w/EK dual top.

    Hi Guys,

I think it will be ok do mount a pump as such but wanted to check. I have two MCP355 pumps with an EK dual top. I was looking at the EK instructions and it doesn't specifically give the OK to such a position but I think it is ok. Here are the positions that EK gives a thumbs up to:

Would it be ok like this:

I would think it is ok since the inlet is still being fed correctly.

Yea, that's fine...probably better than EK option 2 I'd say.

Sure, as long as the impellers / outlet is not upside down!

im assuming this is because you guys factor the first pump should push the bubbles out in a sideway mounting?

Its kinda dangerous tho eddy... bubbles should be able to naturally rise up regardless if pump is on or off.

Possition 2 is kinda.. it bothers me.. lol.... i would think possition two should be rotated 90 degree's so that downwards port is actually facing sideways.

That seems very doable since the inlet is still being feed via a horizontal axis. Just have the RES feeding the inlet close by or with good gravity. The outlet is ideal since the head pressure will flow upwards.
