here's my initial results guys,
ive tried 2 6990's so far and they both are good clockers hitting 1560+ on memory...
the drivers however are a pain in the ass to overclock with so im trying to get bios flashing happening, anyone had any luck with this? every time i load custom bios's on i get a ati driver BSOD on reboot cant wait for water
any results on water guys?
6990+6970. My 6990 alone can reach 1095/1375 on water!!!! But my 6970 is limiting me. I'm having problem OCing my 6970. The card is really unstable with 1.25v. Stupid. I have dip switch on my PCIe slots, so I can use 1 card at a time, and my 6970 is a real POS. Crashing at any settings above 1010, or with 1.25v. I wasn't lucky with that one. That's sad, since my 6990 can go much higher, and is rock-stable at 1.25v.
So I had to go back to 1.175v, since the 6970 is really not happy with 1.25v, and really crash friendly.

Just a quick note. I was able to easily flash my 6990 BIOS to 1.25v with RBE, but the ONLY setting you can change is your VID4 voltage. You CAN'T change clocks at all anywhere, or else it will crash. So just change your VID4 voltage with RBE, and then use CCC to change your clocks. Works like a charm for me.

my old 5970 quadfire setup was no slouch in helping me score P15k in 3dmark 11 @ 1030/1250, but I decided to bite the bullet and go quadfire 6k. So far I only have one Sapphire HD6990, and on air, she's stable at 1000/1500 on default bios. Max memory is 1568, but after 1525 the performance starts degrading. Next month I'll get another Sapphire 6990 and some EK waterblocks so that I may let slip the hounds of war...
With good OC on everything

PLEASE
uPload asus smart doctor.
this soft can not find in the NET.
And afterburner is not good enouth, bug, V limited ...
are you guys using the OC bios or just OCing the default bios ?
this is my first 6xxx card and don't know if the bios switch good or not !
either or... The main difference is that the OC bios has no throttle limit, so be careful, but I used the stock bios to OC as well, and saw no noticeable difference....

Hello..
I upgraded my setup last week to HD6990 watercooled with EK-FC6990 full cover waterblock and I'm slowly OCing my Sapphire ATI HD6990. This is my first attempt with 3Dmark.
I got as far as 1190mV / 900MHz Core CLock / 1305MHz Memory (5220MHz)
i7-2600K at 4.8GHz with Offset Mode enabled, between 1-1.48V. Vcore should probably be fixed when running benchmarking...
The temperature of both GPUs did not go above 50C.
I want to push it more. Can 1250mV limitation be unlocked?
Guys what are your OC settings on your systems? How far do you think I could go?
