Simply beautiful, I want one immadetely with the backplate as well!!!! Any estimate on the price?

Actually my local vendor sent out queries regarding what if EK starts to sell big blocks (GTX590/HD6990) with backplates bundled to the block for a little extra price (definitely cheaper than separately).

I think it's a very good idea and tis silver backplate is simply amazing!

Don't overestimate tri-/quad- fire/SLI. More cards, worse performance scaling. Imho dual CF/SLI is point at which it's still smart to do multi-GPU setups. More - it's diminishing returns.

What i don't like most in multi but slower gpu setups - they rise mostly just average and maximum FPI, but won't help with minimum FPI, for which single but as fast as possible gpu is better.

I know it's not the good place to talk about this, but things have changed with the 6xxx serie and Tri-Fire.

Crysis 2560X1600, 8AA, 6990+6970: 59 fps, 580 SLI, 32 fps. DOUBLE the framerate for the same price. 1000$ against 1000$, 2 cards against 2 cards.

Metro 2033. Same results. 6990+6970 dominating 580 SLI. Same price. Early 6990 drivers.

But the backplate should not touch the pcb... mine does't touch the 580.

All newer backplates, launched after EK-FC580 GTX Backplate do their job at passive cooling. The backplate touches the VRM and also MEM chips

Would you consider releasing brackets with the "L" shaped supports that hold the PCB? (like the original ones have)

Another manufacturer makes single slot brackets for some GPUs but they rely just on the DVI port bolts to hold the card, I've never been happy with this so I end up hacking the original brackets to make them single slot...
