    Gskill F3-12800CL7D-8GBXH Memory IC

    Hi Guy,s

I got a set of Gskill F3-12800CL7D-8GBXH here.
I have not had much luck with 2x4GB memory on SB. Cant get it to operate above 1866 MHz and 1866 with lower timings.

    I also have a set of Corsair XMS3 2x4GB 2000 MHz.

I opened up my Gskills today and this is what i saw:
    Hynix
    H5TQ2GB3BFR
    H9C 047EK
    MTK89328SM

According to the Ramlist Corsair XMS3 V5.1 also uses hynix. I have had 2133 MHz from gskill and that would do 2133 when i kept the CPU at default.

So far i have not bin able to do that with Hynix modules using 9-11-9-27-T1 timings (or 2T).

Best i got so far is 8-10-9-27-T1 on 1866 MHz. (and with a bit lower sub timings on 4700 MHz cpu giving me 40,9 ns AIDA.)

I made this thread mostly to share the memory IC with you guy's. I was hoping for powerchip but i dont know if there are 2x4GB powerchip modules. Maybe the 2133 had those. But one stick did not run at those rated 2133 MHz with default CPU. So they had to go back. And i want to OC my cpu and when i did that the other good working module was not able to run 2133 MHz (or the SB mem controller was not liking it.)

Hynix H5TQ2GB3BFR seems to be the best IC for 4GB stick at this moment.

Mmmh. Will the 2133 2x4gb modules be using the same IC?

I will do some more tests but from what i see now My sticks will not be able to run 2133 MHz.

    Gskill started to ship their 2133 cl9 11 9, so 1600 CL7 8 7 doing 2133 CL9 11 9 should bin to sell as 2133
    Someone reported some early 2011 batch can do 2133 cl 9 11 9 at 1.63v & 1600 7 8 7 at 1.5v only

    I dont know for sure.
I tried to remove the spreaders from the corsair ram. But that proved not to be so easy. (Gskill went quite easy)

So i decided not to remove them because i did not wanna break anything. (Sorry)

same timings @ 2133 with 2gb density modules(2x2gb) were bbse, very similar looking... looks like these might also be bbse, or pretty good PSC. tRCD is +1 which you usually don't see with psc @ anything past 1600MHz

we don't have 8GB kit with BBSE or PSC they make only 2GB dimms as i know.
4GB dimms are Hynix or nanya i never see other ICs for +1600 memories, some 1066 and 1333 are very suck nanya and they can't do even 1400
the 1866 8-9-8 kit must be Hynix and i think they are very similar to +2100 kits with higher timing depend on binning.
