    No. For compression fittings you need the tubing ID/OD to exactly match fitting ID/OD.
    So for 7/16 ID - 5/8 OD tubing you need 7/16 ID - 5/8 OD compression fitting and visa versa
    An unfortunate person is one tries to fart but sh1ts instead...

    Dont think I've seen that combo done before.
    Some guys talk about leaving the tubing ends in hot water to soften them up and then force them over the fittings, that seems to work well.
    For interests sake, why?
