Koolance how long for a 6990 Block

I know it just released today, should have mine on Friday. Just hoping Koolance has a block out soon.

    No, sorry.

It's purely from the www.coolingconfigurator.com on EK's site. They've only got the Asus board listed, but since that's the reference board I'm pretty sure any of the cards out right now will work.

Lol i agree, I think there'll be loads of block boasting going on!

We're trying for 3/18, but it might come on 3/21 or a little later. It's a really long card and it needs a long block. VRM is in between the GPU's now, too.

yeah but tim, unless ATI does something outside the norm, this is the one and ONLY card u can be sure about not getting a pcb revision on.

Scared to see how much these blocks will weigh and cost. Considering the distance between the GPU's I would say it is going to be massive.

The card itself is 12" in length. IDK about GPU distance.

I don't think so, but look at how is is designed. The block is going to need to cover almost the entire surface of the PCB.

That's not a big concern for me right now because I have an horizontal tray in my MM case. However, I'm thinking that if it was vertical, I might rig the tubing to support some weight...

So anyway, who else is looking forward to replacing their 5970 with a 6990?

As soon as the blocks are out, I'm getting mine!

Yeah, got my 6990 also today. Waiting for a waterblock.

Already have a 6970 +EK block to go Tri-Fire. Alot faster then 580 SLI for the same price.

Don't overestimate tri-/quad- fire/SLI. More cards, worse performance scaling. Imho dual CF/SLI is point at which it's still smart to do multi-GPU setups. More - it's diminishing returns.

What i don't like most in multi but slower gpu setups - they rise mostly just average and maximum FPI, but won't help with minimum FPI, for which single but as fast as possible gpu is better.

Well, bad news on the production. First batch was bad and we have to redo, so ETA is now looking like 3/25.
