No. You have in 1'st picture the capables bundled with this product (cheap normal cables) - the ones from that picture are custom cables as described at source:

-Stage III Concepts power cable (about 2000$)
    -Furutech USB cable ( +130$)
    -Vovox mic cable 9about 200 $)

That guy is kinda insane using cables that are almost 10x times the price of that DAC.

WTF, a little over the top. Least it's not quite as bad as the TaraLabs 'The One Gold' 1m vacuum sealed interconnect RCA cable which goes for a little around $16,000. Cheers for those awesome pics. Doesn't actually look too bad components wise.

Do I spy wima caps? Looks like a poorly executed setup with quality parts by my eye. No EMI shield between the power supply components and the rest of the components? Bad choice. The psu really should have been external. As others also mentioned, too many op amps in the I/V stage too.

Holy crap, I have seen those power cables before and if you are stupid enough to actually buy them then you deserve a damn medal for being gullible.
It's just a normal power cord with a shield... and some "fancy" connectors in each end. I agree that if you happen to have some serious power running through a power cable in between signal cables it might come handy, but still very silly indeed.

Maybe the PCB has more than 2 layers and is therefor able to shield the sensitive traces sufficiently. I agree though, not a good design choice.

A review of this is finally out, there be it in another language but a review none the less -

I still think the Burson Audio, fully discrete DA-160 pure DAC would crush this.

very impressive hardware coming from asus, but the problem is this: the reviewer couldn't use it over USB. there was static. the USB drivers suck, as with many USB sound devices like this. so right now this thing is junk as a USB DAC? we'll see when it gets a bigger release.

400 Euro is quite a bit of money if that is what they actually plan on selling it for.
