I'll have to try that, looks like a nice easy mod for the XTL and MCW80 owners.
Thank you very much! Some of the pictures shows a very ugly "finished" I think mostly because lighting and perspective, but at naked eye the result looks very nice (I refer specifically to all that ugly scratches that I only can see in the pictures). I´m a real noob talking about modding hardware, but since I live in Chile, and I dont have the patience to wait 1-2 month for the new housing to arrive at home if I opt for the "upgrade program" at swiftech, I saw me some way "forced" to take my dremel, pray and start milling. The deep for the MCW80 milling was about 5-6 mm. Being a noob, I consider this was an easy job, especially for more advanced "modders"... I recommend this for fun (and for people with difficult access to the retail housings.... of course at your own risk!). I would love to see you making a better job that mine, but especially taking objetive measurements of the "benefits" in loop flow and possible in performance (ºC).

The one they sent me was a rev.2.

I would think that's all they are shipping.

Can anyone from Swiftech weigh in if the replacement housing are going to be available in other retailers or not?

So far in the US, only PPC has orderded this spare part ATM. We just shipped yesterday. In Europe, we shipped to our Master distributor Bacata as usual.

if you are local US/Canada, you can also get it from our web site.

If PPC's has them on order, then that is good enough for me.

Just wanted to say thanks to Gabe and Swiftech for their service, I received a couple of MCW82 tops today. It inspires confidence when I can purchase something so painlessly from the other side of the world.
