They just make me want to buy things. I'm sitting next to a K-5 wondering if it should receive the same fate as my D700. I'm losing my love for this stuff.

This time of year when when things are brown and spring isn't quite here, I find many things to shoot with my macro lens. So get a macro and open yourself up to the world within our world.

Edit, where to you live? Would be helpful in helping you find places and things to shoot.

I can take technically accurate photos of just about anything but I'm losing the spark. I've been messing with new cameras hoping to find one that gives me happiness but it's not working. Maybe I ought to talk to a salesperson and see if they have any ideas.

Looks like the wildlife and portraits are exciting me. I don't want to lug around a big DSLR anymore. How about this:

    E-P2
    300mm lens (wildlife)
    45mm Leica Macro, Portrait
    External EVF

That would be a whole lot of fun!

1ke, let me be straight, because this thread is a little silly imo. You seem to have a camera on hand, go outside, walk around, take pictures. Repeat when free time invites it self.

There are a number of excellent photographers that had inspired me.
This is the best out of all of them, and here is his portfolio:
    http://www.birke.net/

Hong Kong #77 -drumscan by Thomas Birke, on Flickr

Markus is the second on the list for his unprocessed, straight-out-of-the-camera shots. He's been teaching me and gave me lots of great tips on exposure and composition.

Hong Kong - Tsing Ma and Ting Kau bridges by cnmark, on Flickr

This is also a great photographer of Hong Kong.

BOC2 HONG KONG by xavibarca (Visca el Barça!!!)., on Flickr

This guys is also pretty great.

    360 by matteroffact, on Flickr

Last but not least, this guy is great for urban candids.

Silly? I think everyone has been in the same position that I'm in. It's the middle of winter and I'm bored of the subjects/camera that I am shooting. I'm looking for something that will liven up the fun. Right now a Lawn Chair, Cooler full of beverages, tripod, and a telephoto lens sounds awesome. Too bad animals don't come out when its -12C outside.

Sure thing, but it's not like you cannot be creative on your own. It's so much more rewarding just goofing about at random subjects and try to make it look good whatever it is.

Animals don't come out when its -12C outside? <- Be trollin?
There are plenty of animals who are able to survive through the winter without hibernating under ground or moving further south. Even where you live I am sure.

Pigeons and Squirrels. Its a city. If I drove into the country, I could find Deer and Bunnies! I am definitely going to take a picture of a bunny!

These little fellows does come out, even when it's cold. And they are actually easier to get close to when it's cold and you happen to be the only thing around throwing out food

Agreed. I am a big fan of modern architecture as well as urban photography, and Los Angeles is definitely not the place for it. Now here I am, stuck at home without any photo opportunities...

Some inspiration is always nice. I don't see why not.
