Where can I find the voltmeter points for CPU voltage?

My Bloodrage used to show the correct voltage before, but now with the CPU voltage set to +140mV [1.32 or something like that] it shows in CPU-z as 1.46v. I would like to know which one is lying. Thanks.

Hate to sound dumb, but which one is it? VCCP? or CPU VTT that I need?

Just a warning. Digital voltmeters apply 2v to the probes. They are low current, but 2v isn't good for your CPU. I'd recommend you use an analog fluke to check CPU voltage. Also realize that nothing may happen with a voltmeter, but I've seen circuits blown from a digital fluke before because of those 2v .

I wish I had seen the info about the digital multimeters ....

    Anyways, here are my findings:

    PLL 1.8v = 1.78v
    VCCP = 1.50v
    1.1v CPU VTT = 1.27v
    1.5v STR = 1.66v
    1.1v IOH VCCA = 1.09v
    1.5v IOH VCCA = 1.48v
    1D1V IOH = 1.10v

The bolded line is what worries me, the BIOS says that it is set to 1.32v yet it is jacked up to 1.50v

Sounds like you missed a reload cmos defaults last time you flashed the bios up. This can happen if the vid tables on the bios are updated and you dont load optimised defaults immeadiately after flashing.

Give it a go clearing cmos, boot straight into bios and load defaults, save and exit. Check cpu volts then with the cpu vid at auto, set to an amount and check again. Would suggest you keep it low to avoid risk.

If that doesnt work try a cpu remount - possible that a pin is not quite grounding right.

Which brings the third option - some kind of short on the cpu vid ground plane. If its dipped below 0v itll pull up vccp by an equal amount. That means remount motherboard and try it on stock cooling. If that cures it go slow rebuilding regularly checking vccp. Loooooong job and I hope for your sake you don't need to do it!

Best I can come up with at the moment, good luck dude.

Is this 2v dmm thing true? It can damage circuits? First time I hear about this...

Current is WAY too low to do any harm to circuits when they are live. Maybe if you powered on with the dmm attached there'd be a miniscule chance of damage occuring, but in all my time on the net ive never once heard of it happening.

Your body carries more current than a dmm probe and I dont think anyone worries about poking and prodding stuff while its on. I sure dont .

Yes, it's true, to measure resistance you need to push current into it and measure voltage drop. Just an ohm law

    It can damage circuits?
Regular DMM - no, can't damage anything. Sourced currents are too low and as lower resistance -> bigger voltage drop. You can check than just by hooking second DMM in VDC measurement more when u measure some resistors with first DMM.

First time I hear about this...

    UPDATE:

I tried the CMOS clear button, then load defaults and it did not work [voltage shown was crazy high]. I did this 5 times and nothing. I upgraded the BIOS to G42 and still happend [ I did the clear CMOS and load default step as well]. So I decided to fire up my i7-950 on this board since Pilsy advised on reseating the CPU. While I did that, I noticed that my board would drop the voltage down to .93v and run my CPU at 133x7, needless to say it worried me and pissed me off at the same time. Then it started giving me CMOS error messages and not allowed me to get into the BIOS. So I switched the jumper to "Force BIOS ROM 2" position and it booted up to a virgin P03 version. I loaded defaults and went into Windows and upgraded that old BIOS to G40; rebooted and ran my OC Gear settings. Once I got into windows I loaded Everest Ultimate and CPU-Z, both showed the voltage to the CPU as 1.28v

But here is the kicker, now my BlackOps is doing sort of the same thing, but a little different. It shows 1.24v in BIOS, 1.26v in Everest, but it shows 1.49v in CPU-Z. So as luck would have it I now need the voltmeter points on the BlackOps
