    "People who buy games will still buy if it's good, they say bye bye to PC sales with this"

    Well, like they care about the 7 people who would have bought the game but will not now.
    It's probably more microsoft's fault than piracy. They basically propped up the xbox for almost a decade throwing billions at it and bought then destroyed quite a few PC developers and game series. They then ruined dx10/11 adoption by limiting it to vista. They also fragmented windows machines by selling both 32bit and 64bit versions of vista and windows 7.

    All of this seems terribly short sighted, what are they going to do when ARM based machines can run xbox ports? It seems like killing windows gaming will only hasten consumers ditching windows for all the new tablet and netbook devices as they mature.

    Surely it's bad news for AMD, Intel and nVidia as well, why am I going to ever upgrade my GPU if all games are console ports.

    What happened to the PC being the best version of the game and not a console port?

    wow so like BF 3 will be one of the only good shooter made for PC? this year that is

    btw Crysis 2 looks awful lot like FEAR 2, takes place in urban/ city environment, and the graphics as well

    Also removes intro and motion blur.
    fov 90 is too much and looks like crap on a 16:10 screen.

    proper fov on a 16:10 screen should be 74, as it seems crysis 2 uses a vertical fov instead of a horizontal fov - like bc2 does.

    Also even if its not the "correct" fov for 16:10.. who cares... I want to see my surroundings in the battelfield especial in MP, and not just a tiny corridor... hell back in HL days i even played often with fov greater 100 in fisheye view. Your at an advantage when you see your enemy earlier, I notice this a lot in crysis MP that people run just past you even when they should have seen me... well better for me if people play with narrow vision...

    Also, noone forces anyone to use 90...

    Everyone can juge for themself:
    Fov=55 (default)

    Fov=75

    Fov=90

    i just wanted to let everyone know that the fov of 90 that's suggested everywhere is not the PROPER fov for that aspect ratio. people tend to copy & paste such things because they don't know any better and then think it's THE PERFECT setting even though it isn't

    16:10 -> 74 vertical fov (= 100 horizontal fov, which is used in e.g. unreal engine and source engine based games)
    which is equivalent to
    4:3 -> 74 vertical fov (= 90 horizontal fov)

    half life 1 and bioshock made me feel ill. Even HL2 made me feel ill until FOV was increased 90 in console. Crysis 2 doesn't make me feel ill strangely.

    I remember running FOV at 120 in Quake 3 and HL1 before steam.. :p

    A bit less extreme of a number is better for single player though haha.

    what do you mean proper? it is a video game on a flat screen an undefined distance away from your head, so what is the definition of proper FOV? and how are we sure a value in one game means the same thing in another?

    Any "PC" game that begins with "Press Start Button" to me equates a fail.

    I've been playing this the last couple of days. I was frustrated as much as everyone else was when i first played it, constantly plagued with problems etc. But today, it's much better, i can actually join most servers now, and levelling up is now sticking (would always go back to level 1 after restarting the game).

    It's playable on hardcore setting, but i like advanced just for that extra 60-70fps+ multiplayer playability.

    The gameplay is really settling in on me, after finding out that Q and E are suit menu shortcuts for armor and stealth, things became A LOT easier and streamlined I love trying to be a ninja hehe...

    I think I was actually using even higher FoV setting in my Q3 "progaming" days. It starts to look like the alien vision in AvP.

    Btw. the DX11 patch should be available on the launch day, don't know if anybody mentioned that. It's sort of like the PhysX patches from NV.
